I am a key art advertising , Art Director, working for the amazing studio , LA  www.lassociates.com/

I have a passion for the fantastical stories and worlds we create as humans, and love getting to contribute iconography to the cinematic experience professionally. Yea, I love my job!

I work full time for the studio, and have been fortunate to contribute key art designs for many of my all time favorite films and properties, many of which you can see on our companies website.

Freelance wise, I recently collaborated with LEGION M , and the incredibly talented illustrator Paul Shipper, from the UK.  Together we designed the poster for Stan Lee's Imprint Ceremony (shown bellow).  It is such an honor to help give back to such a legend, whose career and life has impacted me so profoundly.

I am currently getting a new site up and running.

In the meantime, please feel free to contact me at BryanMortonArt@gmail.com

HUNGER GAMES: Mockingjay - Part 2

My studio has worked on all the Hunger Games films, designing some amazing iconic work.  I was tasked with building these two concepts, (primarily the destruction detailing) for the final installment this Nov.  Sometimes it's fun to just get to smash things :)   Great job to everyone involved.

SNOW WILL FALL!!!!!

(This smashed Snow Statue is a follow up to a poster my studio did from the 1st installment, shown on the Right.)

SICARIO / My 1st one sheet poster

This poster was a very big game change for me, since up to this point I usually focused on building  destroyed cities, and other matte painting related assets for my team, (like Godzilla bellow).

After completing a few destroyed matte scenes for this film, I was asked to a attempt a montage layout last minute.   Thanks to the guidance of my Creative Directors, this ended up being the final one sheet for the film, and becoming my first one sheet poster. The film was amazing as well, so being a part of the product in the end was even more rewarding.

MINIONS Fine Art!

Fun series my studio did for the new Minions Movie.   I contributed to making the Mona Minion, and a Rembrandt , which was just in Europe.    (2nd image)

have to credit leonardo da vinci for alot of the grunt work !

Updates: LONG Overdue.

Hey guys, I've been meaning to update this page for a while.   I've had work for some great projects come out in the last few years, since starting work as an Art Director and Matte Painter in LA.  Here is some work from my former company IGNITION.

Enjoyed running into all the outdoor Cities and comic con out of the blue, along with Gian, our Lead Matte Painter.   We never saw them on the streets, so it was fun to finally see the work printed on display like this.    ( yes i was dressed as indiana jones at SDCC :)

More to come soon...

Animal Studies

When free time pops up I've been enjoying doing animal studies for lighting and color application practice. I hope to get at least 1-2 a month completed.  Sometimes its nice to let the brain rest from design, and just practice other aspects of painting.
